Dubbo Event Network

The Dubbo Event Network is comprised of arts, cultural, sporting and business organisations plus the event industry working with Dubbo City Council.

The Dubbo Event Network aims to develop the event environment in Dubbo and surrounding region. Membership of the Network is open.

The Dubbo Events Network is an outcome of the development of the Dubbo City Events Strategy.

The aims and objectives of the Network are to:
• Help build the City’s event industry capability by providing support and advice to event organisers and stakeholders.

• Help identify opportunities for growth and development the City’s event industry.

• Provide advice and direction to Council in respect to the Dubbo City Events Strategy’s two-year action plan.

• Provide a channel of communication between Dubbo’s event industry and Dubbo City Council.

Action will be determined by priorities under the two-year Strategy action plan and by matters determined by the members of the Network. To date the network has focussed on mapping or documenting the event community, on identifying areas for skill development, and on the Dubbo Event Development Fund. The Dubbo City Events Strategy is available on request.

Frequency of meetings
The Network currently meets monthly on second Tuesday of the month at 5.30pm in the Conference Room Ground Floor Central Dubbo Council Chambers Civic Administration Building, but please check prior attending a meeting.
